Gourmet Cuisine by The Breakers http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=199 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=199 Tue, 09 Feb 2010 23:02:00 GMT

Aside from the first rate ingredients used in each dish, there is much time and effort, not to mention, talent in creating the actual presentation to guests. Take, for example the Giant Martini Sundae. Once you look past the mountain of ice cream before you, below it sits a variety of sweet toppings all sitting in little chocolate cups. You can practically inhale the entire dessert with your eyes! But that wouldn't be satisfying enough, now would it?

Such inventive appetizers as the South African lobster tail with zucchini and sweet corn pudding timbale, mini ahi tuna taco hors d'oeuvres with margarita shooters and corn fritters perched atop mini beer mugs are enough to make one beg for more. The surprise and delight of marrying alcohol with food, is done to perfection here. What better to go with ahi tuna tacos than a tasty margarita? Corn fritters with beer is way more sophisticated here than what you'd think.

The most beautifully presented and interesting appetizer in our opinion is the Red Delicious apple filled with Emmenthaler fondue. This scrumptious combination is both flavorful and enticing as the melted cheese sits inside the apple just waiting to be dipped into by an eager (and lucky) guest.

I have photographed many weddings at the Breakers and the cuisine is always served to perfection – no matter whether the hosts have selected chicken, beef, fish – each dish is delectable and exquisitely plated. Cuisine at the Breakers is more than just about the food – it is art unto itself. Masterfully created, deliciously designed and standalone in quality, the Breakers cuisine never fails to tempt and titillate all the taste buds in the room.

Julie and Howard’s Delray Beach Marriott Wedding http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=198 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=198 Thu, 21 Jan 2010 09:48:00 GMT
Julie and Howard's recent wedding at the Delray Beach Marriott was truly a magnificent affair! Both bride and groom were beaming all evening at this most festive and elegant event. Aside from the fabulous venue that, as the name suggests, is a beach resort, Julie and Howard's wedding featured only the best of the best of everything! Marcia Mitchell's band rocked the ballroom all night – everybody just loved her! Xquisite Events once again outdid themselves with florals to die for! Both the ceremony and reception looked like a dream, with the flowers, crystals, and twigs arranged to absolute perfection.

As a South Florida wedding photographer, I love photographing weddings at the Delray Beach Marriott because of all the amazing places there are to shoot, both inside and out. You'll see from these photos just how much fun we had taking pictures that day. Julie and Howard were great to work with and we got some really fantastic shots. First, we walked out to the beach and then we worked our way back into the hotel, gathering all kinds of shots along the way. The Delray Beach Marriott has a lot going for it. Aside from the prime location just across the street from the beach, the hotel itself is posh and provides some great interior backdrops for pictures. Their staff is first rate as well. Angie and Chelsea coordinated this affair and are always a delight to work with.

Despite the fact that there are so many hotels on the beach here, not all South Florida weddings are the same. Julie and Howard's wedding was one wedding in which all elements came together in a uniquely perfect way. From the music to the décor, food and atmosphere, this South Florida wedding had the best of it

Margaret and Gregory’s Wedding at the Hyatt Pier 66, Fort Lauderdale http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=196 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=196 Tue, 12 Jan 2010 21:43:00 GMT
Albert had a great time photographing Margaret and Greg's recent wedding at the Hyatt Pier 66! The bride and groom planned their wedding from out of state and were thrilled to have Albert as their photographer. The reception was held in the Hyatt Pier 66's famous Pier Top room that actually rotates 360 degrees above the Fort Lauderdale skyline. It is quite a spectacular spot indeed.

Margaret and Greg were great to work with, as Albert took them all around the Hyatt Pier 66's extensive property to get some amazing shots. As a South Florida wedding photographer, Albert enjoys exploring new locations to shoot and loves trying out new, creative shots with his wedding couples.

We hope you enjoy these samples from Albert's latest Hyatt Pier 66 wedding!

Divine Designs by Guerdy does it again! http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=195 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=195 Tue, 12 Jan 2010 21:41:00 GMT

For those not familiar with Fisher Island, it is one of Miami's most exclusive neighborhoods. Tucked away on its own private island, it is only accessible by taking a special car carrying ferry for which you need to be pre-approved to ride. The moment your car rolls off the ferry onto Fisher Island, you are instantly transported into an elegant and classy place unlike no other in South Florida. As a South Florida photographer, I always love working in different and unusual places and Fisher Island is definitely one of my favorites. From its exclusivity to its unparalleled class and beauty, Fisher Island is an amazing location for weddings and parties galore! Guerdy is practically a fixture at Fisher Island, with her flower shop, Ocean Flowers, right there on the island. She has designed and coordinated many events there and never ceases to do an amazing job.

Thanks again Guerdy for the opportunity to be a part of one of your terrific events!

Ashley and Tom’s Fort Lauderdale Engagement Shoot http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=193 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=193 Tue, 08 Dec 2009 21:41:00 GMT

What is so wonderful about this location is not only the waterway that runs behind it, but the quaint feeling the buildings all around provide. Right in the center of Fort Lauderdale, the River Walk is a park like setting with trees, benches and a pretty gazebo. There's also a large pavilion in the Esplanade which is often used for wedding ceremonies. The varied elements here allow for some terrific shots as you will see here. Ashley and Tom were thrilled with the location and enthusiastic about trying all kinds of fun shots as we walked through the area.

We had a great time with this engagement shoot and I am thoroughly looking forward to photographing Ashley and Tom's upcoming South Florida wedding this April at Mizner Country Club.

Sarah & Richard’s Palm Beach Wedding at the Four Seasons Resort http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=192 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=192 Sun, 29 Nov 2009 22:07:00 GMT
Albert recently photographed Sarah and Richard's wedding at the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach. It was a traditional Jewish wedding, with a beautifully adorned chuppah at the center of the ceremony. Both bride and groom were great fun to work with and Albert had time to photograph them all around the Four Seasons' lavish interior and grounds.

As Albert observed, The Four Seasons Resort is a grand place to have a wedding – it simply reeks of class all around and lends itself to amazing pictures. He had a terrific time working with Sarah and Richard to create awesome images of their truly special Palm Beach wedding. Many thanks to Sarah and Richard and their families for an excellent event!

Down the Aisle to South Florida http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=191 http://www.jeffkolodnyphotography.com/index.cfm?postID=191 Thu, 26 Nov 2009 21:10:00 GMT As a destination wedding photographer in South Florida, I can easily say that at least half if not more of our clients are from out of state. They choose to get married in South Florida for a variety of reasons – for some it is because this is where their parents or grandparents now live, for others they grew up here and have since moved away but want to get married where all of their friends and family are. For many, many others they choose South Florida simply because they want to have a destination wedding in the United States and they want nice, warm weather and beaches. These elements alone make South Florida the perfect place for weddings in general. We pride ourselves in assisting all of our out of state clients with their plans, as we know how difficult it can be to plan from afar – we did it too! We help direct them to appropriate wedding planners and venues that we think are close to what they are looking for. We have a South Florida wedding venue section on our proofing site which contains photos from many venues around town and this has proven to be an invaluable tool for our many out of state clients.

Destination weddings in Miami's South Beach and Palm Beach are made much easier by the efficient wedding planners in South Florida, who can help you find venues such as The Breakers, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, the Delray Beach Marriott, cozy Villa Woodbine in Miami and much more. With amazing weather year round, always warm and sunny, beach weddings are quite popular here. Most venues will offer great wedding packages for South Florida destination weddings.
For your guests who visit South Florida for your wedding, the destination offers a multitude of activities and tourist attractions to provide them with an ideal vacation and keep them happy and relaxed for your wedding. Underwater attractions include scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling, windsurfing etc. while spas, helicopter tours, museums, sightseeing, a Bahamas day cruise, picnics on the beach, touring the Versace house and many more sites to see can keep them busy on land.

In addition, let's not forget the main reason South Florida is so popular – the beautiful beaches and our year round sunny weather. Your guests can also enjoy the amazing night life and lively club scene by partying away the nights, be it your bachelor/bachelorette night or just a night out on the town with friends. If you have time, you and your guests could also experience Delray or Miami Beach by Vespa and see the city in a whole new way with a lot of independence and fun thrown in. Other attractions nearby include The Florida Keys, Sarasota, the Everglades and Disney World, which are all just a short distance away.

Affordability is never an issue with weddings in South Florida. Whether your budget is more along the lines of a simple beach receptions or a grand wedding at a 5-star hotel, you will be sure to find the perfect venue to accommodate your needs. You could have your wedding ceremony on the beach, or go for a slighter higher priced venue, such as a country club or mid-range hotel – of which there are many. For those who don't mind splurging on a highly luxurious wedding, the location is filled with 5-star hotels land resorts such as The Breakers, the Four Seasons Miami or Palm Beach, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, The Ritz-Carlton South Beach, The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, The Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach, The Biltmore and incredible mansions/museums such as Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Casa Casuarina (Versace Mansion), Flagler Museum and the Norton Museum of Art. All are fabulous in their own ways and, of course, different places appeal to different people for different reasons. It's great to have so much to choose from here!
A destination wedding in South Florida is sure to be the experience of a lifetime and will be an unforgettable event for you and your guests.
